How to Measure Speargun Bands (Standard Loop)
Correct measurement ensures proper stretch, smooth loading, and consistent shots.
What You’ll Need
- Your speargun
- The shaft installed in the gun
- A tape measure
Step-by-Step Instructions

Measure from the band slot to the shaft notch.
Measure the straight-line distance from the center of the band slot or hole at the muzzle to the shaft notch or fin you normally load on. -
Measure in centimeters.
Use centimeters for accuracy and enter this number on the product page. -
That’s it.
We calculate the correct cut length and stretch for standard loop bands based on this measurement.
Important Notes
- These instructions apply to standard loop spearguns only.
- Roller and inverted setups are coming soon.
- If your shaft has multiple notches or fins, measure to the one you typically load.
- Measure straight, not around the gun.
