How to Measure Speargun Bands

How to Measure Speargun Bands (Standard Loop)

Correct measurement ensures proper stretch, smooth loading, and consistent shots.

What You’ll Need

  • Your speargun
  • The shaft installed in the gun
  • A tape measure

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Measure from the band slot to the shaft notch.
Measure the straight-line distance from the center of the band slot or hole at the muzzle to the shaft notch or fin you normally load on.
  2. Measure in centimeters.
Use centimeters for accuracy and enter this number on the product page.
  3. That’s it.
We calculate the correct cut length and stretch for standard loop bands based on this measurement.

Important Notes

  • These instructions apply to standard loop spearguns only.
  • Roller and inverted setups are coming soon.
  • If your shaft has multiple notches or fins, measure to the one you typically load.
  • Measure straight, not around the gun.
